Heavyweights Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov have both weighed in ahead of their fight tomorrow night at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Fury, 34-2-1 (24 KOs), returns to the ring 16 months after losing for the second time against Oleksandr Usyk and is considerably lighter than he was for that defeat. In fact, in weighing 267.9 lbs at this afternoon’s weigh in, the “Gypsy King” is some 13 lbs lighter than he was when weighing in at 281 lbs prior to facing Usyk.
As for Makhmudov, 21-2 (19 KOs), his weight of 264.9 lbs means he is four pounds heavier than he was when he beat Dave Allen back in October. That, though, means very little. One look at the Russian’s fighting history and you will realise that he usually weighs in between 260 and 265 lbs. He is, unlike Fury, fairly consistent when it comes to his weight.
