According to reports, a British heavyweight title fight between champion Jeamie “TKV” Tshikeva and Richard Riakporhe is likely to land on the April 11 event at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium headlined by Tyson Fury’s comeback fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov.

There had previously been talk of TKV defending his belt on a BOXXER event on March 7 at the Royal Albert Hall. However, according to talkSPORT, the opportunity to fight on Netflix in support of Tyson Fury was an opportunity worth waiting for.

TKV’s last fight was shown on BBC2, a terrestrial channel in Great Britain, and ended with the Londoner lifting the coveted Lonsdale title having outworked Frazer Clarke, the favourite, over 12 rounds. Prior to that the 32-year-old had been stopped in controversial fashion by David Adeleye in what was TKV’s first stab at British title honours. A pro for only four years, TKV currently boasts a pro record of 9-2 (5 KOs).

Riakporhe, meanwhile, is the more experienced of the two, though has done most of his work as a cruiserweight, not as a heavyweight. At cruiserweight, the 36-year-old won the British title and even boxed for a version of the world title, losing a WBO title challenge against Chris Billam-Smith in 2024. It was then after that defeat, his first as a pro, that Riakporhe, 19-1 (15 KOs), moved to heavyweight, where he has since won two on the spin.
