The heavyweight fight between Tyson Fury and Arslanbek Makhmudov takes place on April 19 at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and will be supported by a number of interesting undercard bouts.
The first of those, a 150-pound catchweight fight between Conor Benn and Regis Prograis, was announced last week.
Today, a few more were announced.
Completing the Fury-Makhmudov main card are two other heavyweight fights, the first of which will feature Jeamie “TKV” Tshikeva, the British heavyweight champion, going up against Richard Riakporhe.
Tshikeva, 9-2 (5 KOs), will be making the first defence of his British title, which he won in November with a split decision over Frazer Clarke. Riakporhe, meanwhile, is a former WBO cruiserweight title challenger who has campaigned as a heavyweight for the past 12 months, beating Kevin Espindola and Tommy Welch in that time. He is currently 19-1 (15 KOs) as a pro.
Also at heavyweight, Australia’s Justis Huni will fight Frazer Clarke, the man Tshikeva beat late last year, over 10 rounds.
Huni, 12-1 (7 KOs), fights out of Australia and was last seen in the UK back in June, when he appeared to be on his way to outboxing Fabio Wardley only to walk into a big knockout shot in round 10. Before that Huni had won 12 fights in a row, besting the likes of Keven Lerena and Andrew Tabiti.
As for Clarke, 9-2-1 (7 KOs), he too has felt the power of Fabio Wardley, having shared two fights with the reigning WBO heavyweight champion in 2024. The first, which took place in March of that year, ended in a draw, with the three judges unable to separate them. However, the rematch, which happened seven months later, was a fight Wardley ended in the very first round, when he stunned Clarke with a massive shot and wouldn’t relent until his hand was raised. Since that night, Clarke has responded by beating Ebenezer Tetteh inside a round and losing, via split decision, to Jeamie “TKV”.
The rest of the April 19 card:
Troy Williamson vs. Simon Zachenhuber
Breyhon Gorham vs. Eduard Georgiev
Mikie Tallon vs. Christopher Rios
Felix Cash vs. Liam O’Hare
Hector Lozano vs. Sultan Almohammed
